Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs signed a six-year contract

Wesday was a good day for Terrell Suggs, he got a six-year, $63 million contract from the Ravens and became the highest-paid linebacker in NFL history.

The contract assures Suggs $38 million in guaranteed money and a long-term solution to Suggs' unsettled status as the team's franchise player. Suggs has been the Ravens' franchise player for the past two seasons. He was glad that he finally got the deal done. So he will not consider whether to seek chance of wearing titans jersey.

But for another NFL player, who also had a deadline on Wedsday, things continue to be uncertain. No deal was done between the Panthers and franchise defensive end Julius Peppers. Peppers will now play under a one-year contract worth at least $16.7 million and have to wait until the regular season ends for further negotiation about long-term deal.
