RB Patrick Pass has been trying to stick with the Patriots, a them he played for from 2000 to 2006 as a backup. But his effort came to nothing as the Patriots released him on Thursday.
Pass joined the Patriots in 2000 and were on all three of Patriots' Super Bowl champion teams. He played as RB and BB and started at fullback in their Super Bowl XXXIX victory over the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2004 season. He was released in 2006 and played one game for the Giants in 2007. He did not play any game in 2008.
Last week Pass called Patriots Bill Belichick and then participated in a workout. He got signed after that, but just one week later, this Thursday, he was released by the Pats.
What happened? We are waiting for a explanation.
