Hearing for Bills safety Whitner has been delayed to July 31

Buffalo Bills safety Donte Whitner was previously charged for disorderly conduct. And according to reports by Associated Press, the hearing of this case was delayed to July 31 and will not interfere with Whitner's preseason workouts.

Whitner was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after he tried to force his way past officers dealing with a crowd outside a nightclub in April. His attorney told Judge Angela Stokes that the defense and prosecution were negotiating about a plea deal, so the hearing needs to be delayed. According to the agreement between the two sides, the judge also allowed Whitner to skip next month's hearing because of preseason workouts.
